Weekly updates
Happy weekend, everyone! We’ve had another fantastic week here in St. Patrick’s!
On Monday, we said goodbye to Miss McColgan, who finished her teaching practice in P4/5. She was a wonderful addition to our school throughout January. We wish her every success as she continues her studies—we’ve no doubt she’ll make an excellent teacher!
We were delighted to have our St. Brigid’s crosses blessed on Monday morning at mass. A big thank‑you to Cillian, Oisín, Aoife, and Alfie for bringing in rushes.
Aoife and Ella also proudly shared their dancing trophies with us—well done girls!
Mr McGlone, along withP4/5, put some leftover breaktime bananas to great use and baked the most delicious banana bread. The sweet smell travelled right down the corridor!
The annual Book Fair was another big hit, and the children loved it. Thank you so much for your continued support.
A huge well done to Ailbe, Saoirse, Oisín, and Daire for receiving individual awards this week—fantastic achievement! And a special mention to Aoife, who impressed us all by showing off her beautiful hand‑crocheted handwarmers. Such talent!
Our boys did us proud during the Cumann na mBunscol indoor heats on Wednesday. They may not have come home winners, but they represented the school brilliantly and played their hearts out.
It was also lovely to welcome back past pupil Séan McConnell, who joined us for work experience this week. Cillian and Oisín were especially delighted to have their big cousin in school!
We squeezed in some nest‑building and library visits too—never a dull moment!
Wishing you all a lovely weekend. We’re in on Monday and Tuesday next week, and then off for a few days’ holidays—something to look forward to 🙏🤩
