Weekly roundup π€©
1st May 2026
The sun shone again this week, which was fantastic as we were able to make great use of our lovely outdoor areas.
We saw lots of medals at Monday’s assembly, with Éireann and Mollie receiving awards for Irish dancing, and Saoirse and Olivia for gymnastics. Cailey-Rae did brilliantly by earning Player of the Week at Ardstraw Soccer – well done π€©
Our afterschool art lessons began on Wednesday with Michelle, and the children really seemed to enjoy getting creative. πΌοΈ
Thursday was a very busy day. We had our final Shared Education session, and 10 children represented the school at the Greencastle Cross Country event. A big thank you to Miss McCauley for working with the children and accompanying them on the day.
Thankfully, the sun shone for everyone, making it a great experience.
For Pupil of the Month, children were chosen for something that they truly shine at. Well done to all of our very talented pupils!
Every morning, Miss Loughrey kindly cuts and prepares fresh fruit snacks for breaktime for every child in the school. Today, to finish off the week, she prepared some beautiful tasting platters. Thank you so much, Miss Loughrey! πππππππ«
Musical Pathways was great fun today, with the children showing fantastic dance moves while singing Happy Birthday to Olivia too!
Primary 4/5 created lovely symmetry patterns using Lego, showing great teamwork and creativity.
Our Primary 7s played great football at the Emma and Eamon Sweeney Tournament in Aghyaran. No medals but super manners once again! Thank you to Mr McGlone and Miss McCauley for accompanying and supporting the children.
Have a lovely long weekend, everyone. We look forward to welcoming you back on Wednesday ππ€©
