Weekly round up 🤩
1st Dec 2025
We’ve had another busy and exciting week as we wrap up November—it’s hard to believe Advent begins on Monday and our festive preparations will be in full swing!
This week has been full of activities that have really put us in the Christmas spirit:
• Christmas Crafts: The children have been making beautiful baubles for the Newtownstewart Festival and the Lislimnaghan Cross-Community Festival of Lights.
• Reading Eggs: Every child from P1–P7 now has access to Reading Eggs, and they are really enjoying it! P1/2 have also been working on JIT5 in ICT.
•P5 had a very informative fire safety talk on Tuesday! Some wise tips on how to stay safe!
• Baking Fun: P4/5 loved baking banana bread with Mr McGlone—now we’re all looking forward to our Christmas baking!
• Sports: Well done to our P6/7 boys who took part in the Ronnie Kelly Gaelic Indoor Tournament. No silverware this time, but they represented us brilliantly!
• Advent Activities: P3/4 have been doing lovely Advent work as we prepare for the season.
• Choir Competition: Our school choir performed beautifully today under the guidance of Mrs Sheridan and Mrs Cunningham. They did us proud! Congratulations to St. Peter’s, Plumbridge, who were the winners.
• Celebrating Achievements: Lots of green cards were awarded this week, and a special mention to Eimile who shared her lovely drama trophy with us! We had Daithí, Aiden and Shea who got Gaeilgóir of the week! Maith sibh!
It’s going to be a busy few weeks ahead, so we hope you enjoy a relaxing weekend before the festive fun begins.
