Weekly round up
11th May 2026
Although it was a short week, we certainly packed a lot in!
We got up our lovely May display to celebrate Mary and we have started each day with a decade of the rosary at morning assembly.
On Wednesday, the children enjoyed lovely art activities with Michelle at afterschools. Aoife and Mollie proudly shared their Irish dancing trophies and medals from the Feis – such fantastic talent once again!
Primary 3/4 had great fun measuring outdoors and learning about compound words. Primary 4/5 enjoyed outdoor building activities, and it’s brilliant to be able to make use of the pitch with Ryan Mayse when the weather is good. Primary 7 have also begun their cycling proficiency sessions with Ms Neill.
Today, we hosted the Cumann na mBunscol outdoor heats. Our boys’ and girls’ teams played wonderfully, and we were delighted to welcome Christ the King, St Joseph’s Drumquin, and St Columba’s Clady.
A big thank you to Mr McGlone for organising the entire event and refereeing throughout the day. Many thanks also to Ryan Mayse for helping with the teams, and it was lovely to see some parents there to support. Thanks to Miss McCauley for all the super photographs from today! Thank you to Mrs Duffy and our fantastic assistants for providing refreshments. Thanks to Faolán and Iarlaith for their great umpiring skills too!
It was a great day. Although our teams did not win, they played incredibly well and represented us with pride. Congratulations to St Columba’s boys’ team and St Joseph’s girls’ team, who now go on to County Final day in Garvaghy in June.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone! 🤩
