What a fantastic week we've had!
Our Gaelic team had a brilliant time at the Strabane Blitz on Monday – lots of fun and great teamwork on display! Mr McGlone and Miss Tibbs were so proud of their great manners and how well they represented our school.
We also had a spook-tacular visit to Newtownstewart Library, where the children enjoyed some fantastic Halloween activities. A big thanks to Phillipa and Jane 🎃
P1/2 afterschools did lovely artwork with Miss McCullagh 🦔
A big well done to Ava in P7, who proudly shared her Sion Swifts Player of the Week award – what an achievement! And congratulations to Ava in P6, who received a Blue Peter badge in recognition of her amazing piano playing skills – such talent!
We were also delighted to welcome three wonderful work experience students from Sacred Heart College: Chloe Orr, Matthew O’Doherty, and Caoimhe McCullagh. They brought great energy and enthusiasm, and our pupils really enjoyed learning from them.
We’re also thrilled to have handed out more Green Cards this week – well done to all our superstars! Some more kahoot winners too in Mrs Sheridan’s and Mr McGlone’s classrooms!
Caleb, Cody and Alfie had great fun making Autumn/Halloween garlands with Mrs Daly and Miss McLaughlin!
Today, we had a magical time at the pumpkin patch, where each child got to pick their very own pumpkin – a perfect way to kick off our Halloween celebrations! Thanks to Ray and Cody’s dad William for helping to set it up! And the fun doesn’t stop there – we’ll be continuing our spooky activities next week.
Finally, we want to wish Eireann Maguire in P5 and Aoife McIvor in P6 the very best of luck as they compete in the Ulster Irish Dance Championships next week. They have worked so hard, and we’re all cheering them on!
