Happy Friday 🤩
We’ve had a wonderful week filled with learning, kindness, and celebration!
We started the week on a high note with Jude proudly sharing his medals—well done, Jude!
Our Odd Socks Day was a fun way to kick off Anti-Bullying Week, and throughout the week, children took part in meaningful activities to explore the importance of kindness and respect. On World Kindness Day, we reflected on the idea that “If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all” and “If you can be anything, be kind.” The Anti-Bullying workshops for P4–P7 were especially powerful, helping children understand the message of Power for Good.
Here’s a snapshot of what each class has been up to:
• P1/2 had a lovely trip to the library—lots of excitement around books!
• P3/4 enjoyed their outdoor learning adventures.
• P4/5 were back in action with their Kahoot quizzes—congratulations to Lochlann for taking 1st place! Ailbe and Lochlann also proudly shared their fantastic story sequencing work—well done!
• P6 had great fun with Beebots and programming activities.
• P7 enjoyed basketball with Mr Lynch and had a blast flying their gliders to see which would travel the furthest.
We’re thrilled to see so many children showing positive behaviour—green cards were awarded to Brodie, Enda, and Flynn this week.
Clodagh brought in the beautiful plaque she got in recognition for her amazing fundraising efforts - very appropriate for Kindness week!
Aoife McIvor shared her Irish dancing medals where she got 4th place in the Irish dancing reel at Drumragh Feis in Omagh. She got 3rd in jig, 4th in slip jig and 4th in heavy jig. Super dancing Aoife!
Father Colhoun was very impressed with the children’s beautiful work for the St.Mary’s Oratory’s 25th anniversary. A big thank you to Miss McLaughlin and Miss McCullagh for creating such a lovely display.
In Irish, we had great fun with Michelle, and congratulations to Cailey-Rae, Oisin, Tilly, and Brodie for earning the Gaeilgóir na Seachtaine award!
Our Gaelic team represented the school brilliantly at the indoor county blitz in the Melvin Centre, Strabane. Mr McGlone praised not only their football skills but also their manners and sportsmanship.
We also had fantastic results in cross country with Ryan Pritchard - well done to all the children for their great running especially Mason, Cillian, Ailbe, Ardan, and James!
As we move through November, we continue to take time each morning to pray for our loved ones who have passed! We have our lovely candles displayed to pray for our loved ones in heaven.
And to end the week on a festive note—Ray and Janice have started spreading the Christmas cheer! 🎄
A big good luck to our Primary 7s who are sitting the first transfer test tomorrow! We will pray that you’ll do your very best 🙏
Wishing you all a restful weekend!
