We’ve had a lovely shorter week settling back into routine after the holidays. The children have been working hard across all areas of learning, and it’s been wonderful to see their enthusiasm and energy return to the classroom.

In P3, P4, and P5, some fantastic science experiments and investigations took place—lots of curious minds at work!

Our coaching sessions are back in full swing, and we’ve also started Irish lessons with Michelle Furey, which were a great success today.

A big well done to Eireann in P5, who placed 8th in the Ulsters—a brilliant achievement at this level! We also want to celebrate Aoife in P6, who danced beautifully in her team performances.

Ava P6 brought in a boomerang all the way from Australia, a lovely gift from her uncle that sparked great interest in class.

Special thanks to Tilly (P6) and Ava (P7) for their thoughtful contributions across all areas in Term 1. And a big shout-out to Cody, who proudly shared his Player of the Week trophy—well done!

Next week is Anti-Bullying Week, and we’re looking forward to a range of activities, starting with Odd Sock Day on Monday and continuing with workshops throughout the week. We regularly share this quote with the children:
“If you can be anything, be kind.”

After praying the Rosary daily in October, the children created little candles with the names of loved ones who have passed away, helping us to remember them in our prayers throughout November—a beautiful and meaningful tradition.

As we joyfully mark the Silver Jubilee of St.Mary’s Oratory, we are reminded of the many blessings and memories shared within its sacred walls over the past 25 years. This special anniversary is not only a time to reflect on the past but also to celebrate the vibrant faith and community spirit that continues to flourish among us.
To honour this milestone, each child has created a beautiful and heartfelt poster expressing what the Oratory means to them. These wonderful posters will be proudly displayed in the Oratory throughout the upcoming Parish Mission, which takes place over three evenings of prayer from Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th November, with Mass each evening at 7:30pm.

Thank you for your continued support.
Wishing you all a restful weekend! 🤩🙏
