Week 1 Term 2 Snippets
Happy New Year 🤩
After an unexpected snow day on Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome all the children back on Wednesday and get our rules and routines re-established!
On Wednesday, our P7 pupils began their online Confirmation programme through the Derry Diocese. These three days were a fantastic start to their Confirmation preparation. We also had Mr. Michael Gormley, Principal of Sacred Heart College in Omagh, visit to share what life is like at Sacred Heart. Later that evening, some of our pupils attended the college’s Open Night—Mason and Conor were well captured!
Thursday was an exciting day as Katrina Bradley from NumeraSee joined us to work with staff and pupils from P4–P7. Her enthusiasm for maths was contagious, and everyone enjoyed a day full of fun activities and great ideas.
It was also a bittersweet day as we said goodbye to Miss Bronagh Murray, who joined P1/2 in October. She worked so hard and was a wonderful addition to our school family. We thank her for her care and dedication and wish her every blessing as she heads off on her travels. At the same time, we warmly welcome Miss Áine Coyle, who we know will be a fantastic asset to our school.
Friday brought more excitement with Helen returning for Musical Pathways with P1–P3. We also welcomed Mrs. Imelda Kirk from Drumragh Integrated College along with past pupils Eoin Devine and Farrah Loughrey, alongside their friend Amelia, who shared their experiences of life at Drumragh.
All classes enjoyed PE sessions with Mr. Lynch. A nice way to finish a Friday!
It’s been a great few days back, and now it’s time to recharge for next week’s activities! Everyone received the January updates, so please check those for more information about what’s coming up at St. Patrick’s.
Happy weekend 🤩
